EzyReg

EzyReg is an awesome Australian website that offers services to car owners.

They describe themselves as:

This website is managed by the eGovernment directorate of the Office of the Chief Information Officer, part of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. It is the first of its kind in Australia and represents a radical departure from the traditional government agency 'silo' approach.

This site is structured around topics and themes that make sense to customers, without needing to understand how the state government is structured. Content is written and managed by teams of people who are subject experts, ensuring that it is both accurate and relevant.

Awards and recognition

In 2011 the site was named Public Sector Organisation of the Year (Oceania) at the FutureGov awards in Singapore. This recognises administrative excellence of a government, education or healthcare organisation.

It was also nominated in the fostering creativity and innovation category in the 2011 Premier's Awards.

In July 2010 sa.gov.au won the eGovernment iAward for innovation in delivery of services at the 2010 Australian Information Industry Association South Australian awards.

The success of the site has also been acknowledged internationally as an example of best practice in the field of online provision of government services. It is one of the few discrete whole-of-government websites in the world, and the first of its kind in Australia. The eGovernment team regularly provides advice to governments across Australia and from overseas who are interested in this visionary approach to providing information and services to citizens.
